Shop, Shop, Shop….
Spent the day shopping...Just Mom, Dad, and the Missionary to be! Had a great time at the malls during the Christmas season. Mr. Mac’s is a wonderful store...spent just 2 hours there and purchased about 85% of what we needed. They were so helpful and knowledgeable. All fit and tailored overnight, very impressive!
After an excruciating wait, a little over an hour, we had a nice dinner at P.F. Chang’s. The food was great (Colton loves Oriental food), the atmosphere was nice, and we just had an overall enjoyable time! The restaurant was within walking distance of our hotel and so we took a brisk walk back and crashed exhausted into bed.
Our return trip back to Cedar City was quite eventful. We had such lovely (sarcasm here) traveling weather. A normally 4-hour trip was extended to a little over 7 hours! We seemed to be in the worst of the blizzard all the way home, and may I say that there are a whole lot of people living in Utah who can’t drive in the snow!!! We witnessed a multitude of bizarre accidents in our travels home...an impatient pickup truck driver who quite purposefully mangled the whole length of his new truck, an SUV precariously perched on top of a large cement road divider, and an 18-wheeler on its roof, just to name a few of the dozens of accidents witnessed! However, after multiple stops to break ice off the windshield wipers and miles of driving with heads out the window in the blinding snow so we could see the sides of the road, we returned home exhausted but in one piece!
