Our First Letter Home

Friday, January 9, 2009

Dear Family,

I was asked to write a letter for my first night here to my family.  They feel, and I agree, that parents get worried easily and you would like to know what is going on.

I am so excited to be here.  I can feel that this is the right place for me to be.  In orientation today, I was made the elder companion.  Surprising huh?  But it just means that I have more responsibilities.  I would also like to tell you that I have 3 roommates.  It’s kind of crowded sometimes!  My companion’s name is Elder Huntsman.  No relation, I asked, and he is a really cool guy.  I feel you should know that I am fine, and I’m where the Lord wants me to be.  Please don’t worry about me, I feel very safe.  Thanks for everything!

Love,

Elder Savage
