and the Hospital...

Dear Family,

It has been a little challenging to deal with these stomach problems, but don't worry, I visited a Doctor. His name is Dr. Province. First though, I wanted to tell you that this stomach problem wasn't caused by Ibuprofen or other pills. I haven’t been taking any pain pills, other than Tylenol for the rare, occasional head ache. Yesterday morning, I had another problem with my stomach so I called Sister Corey, and she decided it was time to get me into a doctor. We drove to Franklin, Indiana; it is below Indianapolis, and visited Dr. Province. He was a really funny guy, and he is a good doctor. He concluded that I have a stomach bug, and he put me on some Meds. He is also having me go to the hospital to have some tests. It isn't anything to worry about. I will be feeling “right as rain” in no time. I also found a dentist. I just need to call and set up an appointment. I will get it all taken care of.

On a side note, I was talking to Dr. Province about my stomach history, and he told me something interesting. He said that Caffeine is not good at all for someone who has had an Ulcer, and so in turn, he suggested that I lay off of chocolate. That is going to be a big change for me to make, but I think it will be a healthy one in the end.

I am really excited to get the care packages in the next few weeks. It will be great. Tell Aunt Trudy thank you for the tree and decorations, I will enjoy them a lot. I will really enjoy the food when the stomach bug goes away, and thanks so much for remembering the Hickory Farm’s Beef Stick. I have been really excited about that. I can tell that even though this Christmas will be weird being away from home, I can still make it a good one.

Also, thanks for the pictures. I didn't really realize how much I had at home, until I left it. It will be great to see how everyone is doing, and to see how much they have grown in just under a year.

I had a good Thanksgiving. The members we ate with were really nice, and I was able to get some good atmosphere. It was really cool at one of the houses we ate at (we got invited to another one). They reminded me of back home. Just the joking and the laughing. I had a lot of fun here. It is too bad that Chase didn't want to join in the fun. I hope he is doing all the right things. I also hope that everything goes well for all the new additions to the family. It is going to be crazy for the first little while when I get home.

Well, as for the missionary work, it is going great here in Connersville. We have a couple of wonderful families that are doing well. We are also teaching Ken Johnson, the man who was so involved in the church in Utah. He is doing well, and we had a great lesson with him last night. The spirit was there very strongly, and I hope that he was able to take the things that we said to heart. Just keep me in your prayers, and the work will be wonderful. This is going to be a great holiday season.

Thanks for all that you guys do for me. Also, thanks for the thoughtfulness for this Christmas. It will just make things that much more enjoyable. Let me know if I can do anything for all of you!

Love,
