Thanks For All the B-Day Cards and Gifts

Dear Family,
My birthday was good. When I got over to the May's house on Tuesday, they weren't there. They got holed up somewhere else, but Sis. May brought some cupcakes by and said, “Happy Birthday”. I guess that birthdays on a mission just aren't supposed to be that exciting, and I have also realized that I have reached that age where they aren't as big of a deal.
I can't possibly believe that transfers are next week. I'm not way too nervous about the possibility of becoming a senior companion. Actually, this last Friday I went on an exchange with an Elder who came out on his mission 3 months after me. It was weird because it was the first time I have ever been the one with more experience. I didn't know what to expect, but I didn't die so I guess it isn't too bad.
Thanks for the CD's. They did make it fine, and they are in good working order.
I can't believe that school is starting. It actually starts in Bedford today. I don't think that I could survive 150 kids that age. I would go nuts. I hope that everything goes well, and that you all will be able to get settled back into work soon.
I can't picture Levi being any taller. I guess at this point he would tower over me now. I guess that you are right; we all have to grow up. I think that it is funny that Levi has facial hair like Uncle Jeff.
Of course Misti's baby is going to be a boy. Everyone bought girl stuff. It is just the law of nature that it would be a boy. Things never work out as planned.
The missionary work is still going great. We have lost a couple of people that we have been teaching, but on the other hand, we are still finding more. It is just one continuous cycle. Right now, the hard part isn't getting new investigators, but the hard part is keeping them. Things will work out though. We are still teaching Thor, but luckily the reinforcements have arrived. Heather, who is Thor's wife, had her parents move in recently. They used to live in Alton Utah, but his work was dead. He was a contractor so he hopes to find something out here. Well, he was at our apartment fixing our dryer, it has been broken for a while, and he told us that he is going to continue to live with Thor so that they can help him get baptized. We know that Thor is ready, but he has a few concerns, and I think that Bro. and Sis. Nelson, Heather's parents, can help him.
I wanted to say thank you for the birthday cards and gifts. I am sending everyone letters back. I used some of the money I was sent, but I'm not going into detail because I am sending a picture with Mom and Dad's letter home.
If you ever have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I would love to answer them, and I actually have some time to e-mail because I write my president’s letters. I don't e-mail President Corey.
Yesterday, I had a really good experience. I had my President Interview that we have every transfer, and it was really great. President Corey just knows how to help each one of us. I truly can see why he was chosen. I can also see why it takes a unanimous vote of the First Presidency and the Apostles to make him a Mission President. I also really love Sis. Corey. She cares so much for each and every missionary. It is funny, but when the First Presidency and the Twelve vote, it is for both President and Sis. Corey. They look at both of them before they make a decision.
Well, I hope that everything continues to go well for everyone, and that you are all able to get back into the swing of things quickly. I know for a fact that things sometimes get hard in life, but I also know that our Father in Heaven and our Savior love us so very much. They will help us through anything and everything. All we need to do is ask.
Love,
Elder Savage
