Won’t Know Till Next Week...

Dear Family,
I don't know if I am being transferred yet. I was able to have a president interview with President Corey yesterday, and I did find you that the three of us are being separated. I have enjoyed having two companions, but at the same time, I am glad that I am going back to just one. Three guys crammed into our little apartment isn't much fun. I will find out what is happening next Tuesday, and I will tell you then. Just remember to send anything to the mission office so that it doesn't get left behind here in Bedford.
The interview with President Corey was great. He is one great man. I love walking into a room with him. I can walk in there with the stresses of life and missionary work, and as soon as I do, the stresses leave me. I am able to calm down, and just enjoy talking with him. I truly can see President Corey becoming a General Authority one day. Being able to do that every six weeks is a wonderful experience that I enjoy having. I will be sad to see him go home in June of next year.
The toothache problem hasn't been too bad lately. I tried to get a dental appointment with a dentist here in Bedford, but he was booked up until November. So, Sister Corey is going to help me come up with another way to get my teeth fixed. Thanks for the insurance information. It will be a big help to have. I have Mom’s card, but it would be good to have yours as well. I am not looking forward to getting my tooth fixed. It feels like it could be a root canal. I hope it isn't.
Thanks for the photo of Mike's wedding announcement. It looks like things are moving forward with that. I can't believe that it will be in a couple of weeks. Time is going by way too fast. Next Wednesday, will be my 9-month mark. WOW!
The work here in Bedford is still being successful. Our Investigators are doing well. Since we haven't had the car for about a week, we have had a hard time getting around. We have been having to get rides with members. Luckily, we should be getting the car back tomorrow, and that will make things a little easier.
I really have been enjoying Trudy’s pumpkin bread. It was a great treat! Thank her again for me.
It is good to hear that Grandma is doing OK. Tell her I sent a letter. I couldn't find her Cedar City address, so I had to send it to the Salt Lake City address. I hope that she is able to get better quickly. Just tell grandma to rest and relax. I think that she just pushes herself too hard, and that is when accidents happen.
If Mom does find out anything about new mission calls let me know. It is fun to hear about other people.
I have also been enjoying the weather change. It was a little cooler this morning, more like Cedar weather and I am enjoying it. It will be nice not walking out in the horrible heat now. I just hope that we don't start to freeze too soon. I guess that there is always something I could find to complain about the weather. I should just enjoy it when I have it.
Things are still going well for me. I am doing OK, and my allergies have cleared up for the past couple of weeks. That has truly been enjoyable. Funny, the things I really miss are like playing the piano, etc. I didn't truly realize how important it is until I came out here. I actually hope to be able to pick it back up when I get home. That is one of my goals.
Let Levi know that I have been thinking about him lately, and I want you to encourage him to start getting ready for a mission. I know that it is still two years away, but as I am beginning to realize, two years go by very fast. I just don't want him to be unprepared when he gets out here. He should read the Book of Mormon at least once before he goes on his mission, and he should also read and study out of Preach My Gospel. That book is amazing. It truly was written on the other side and brought here. There is so much to learn within its pages. I only say these things because of the difference that my mission has made for me. I don't think that I will be able to look at life ever the same. I think that my mission has changed me for the better, and I will be forever grateful for this opportunity that I have had.
Thanks for all that you guys do for me. You have all been a great support to me. Just keep up the prayers, they truly do help, and continue to write. Those are the best things that you can do for me.
Love,
Elder Savage
Waiting on a possible “Transfer”... so we’re not sure about the address for a couple of weeks.
