Still In Address Limbo

Monday, September 20, 2010

Dear Family,

The apartment is still in the process of getting taken care of. President Collins thinks that we should be getting a new one, but we haven't moved yet so I guess we have to wait another week before I can give you an address. Sorry about that. It is somewhat of an annoyance, but hopefully we can get it taken care of. I would like to be able to look at that college catalog, but I can't have you send it before we know where we will be staying.

I really like Columbus. It is a great city, and there are a lot of good people here. The previous Elders had only a couple of people they were working with.  One of them has decided that he doesn't want to learn anymore. Elder Kimball and I have found some great people to work with here. Hopefully, we can continue to get some good work done. We actually met a really cool guy a week ago. His name is Robert. He has some cool opinions on things, and I hope that we will be able to get him to come around to the truth.

Maybe, when I come home, I will have a weird reaction and my hair will go black.  That would be really strange to look in the mirror and see black hair. I think that I would actually rather my hair stay the color it is now. I like it blond, but brown would be OK.

It sounds like you have had some fun in school so far! Has it already been like 6 weeks or so? I remember having Red Ribbon Week, and I guess it was fun. I am actually glad that I am out of high school at this point. It wasn't my favorite time of life. I think that if I want to, I can make college a lot better.

Things are going well here. The work has been picking up. There isn't too much to report at the moment, but hopefully I will have more to report next week. I do really like it here, and Elder Kimball is a great missionary. He is just a lot of fun. We have been biking a lot, and it is good exercise. Actually, I have been thinking about my bike. I can't decide if I want to send it home or not. When winter comes around, I don't think that I will have much use for it, but I'm just not sure if it would be a good idea to mail it home. What do you think?

We will continue to work. There is no substitute for it. When we work, it’s the only time we can truly have success and have fun. I know that the Lord has been blessing us, and He will continue to do so as we work.

Thanks for all that you do. Take care. Enjoy what you have while you have it.  I love you all.

Love,

Elder Savage
