Still no New Address

Monday, September 27, 2010

Dear Family,

Things are going great, but no, we still haven't figured out our apartment thing yet. I was hoping to be able to get you my address by now, but I just don't know what to do. If this situation isn't figured out quickly enough, we may have to live in the apartment another month. I just hope it gets taken care of.

Wow, 8 weeks in school already!  Boy, does time fly. I remember you telling me you were getting into school, and now you are this far into it. I just don't know what to believe about it all.

It is too bad to hear about Levi and the Fibromyalgia. Hopefully, he will be able to keep his diet in check and not have too much of a problem. I decided about a month or two ago to stop drinking Soda all together, and I now think it was the right choice. It will help me out in the long run, and it will definitely help him. Also, I hope that he won't have to take medication. I have realized how much people use medication, and I don't like it. I think it is much better if we can do without it.

It is good to hear that Grandma is still doing her trips to Cedar. I bet she enjoys coming down and seeing all of her friends in town. I think that she will also enjoy going to New York. Maybe I will randomly look up and see her plane flying overhead. That would be odd if I truly saw hers. Have Faris and Frank really been on their mission for that long? I can't believe it. How long of a mission was it supposed to be? I hope that they are still really enjoying it. What about Norma? How are things going for her?

General Conference is always a wonderful time for us. We have the great opportunity to hear the people that we talk about every day. I can't wait to hear what Elder Holland talks about. He is always one of my favorites to listen to. He is such a powerful and eloquent speaker. He knows how to catch the attention of an audience. I think of him as an Aaron from the Bible.

I will just think about the bike situation. I did get a lot of use out of it. I will also have to get a few things fixed on it if I bring it home. On the other hand, it would be really cool to have my bike from my mission. I guess it will just come down to what is more important. I will let you know what I decide.

The work is going great. We already have an investigator with a baptism date, the 30th of October.  Her name is Geneva. The miracle is the fact that Elder Kimball and I found her ourselves at the beginning of the transfer, and she’s already accepted that she needs to be baptized. There is still a lot we have to do, but it is a great blessing. We are also trying to work with a couple of less-actives. There is one guy, Brother Keller, who works at the Children's Museum up in Indianapolis. It is the largest Children's Museum in America. I think that he really enjoys it. His job is to know a lot about all of the exhibits. He said that up there they don't like to have all of the information boards around the museum, instead they have people who answer questions. He is one of them. It would be so cool to get to learn about all of that stuff. I think that he has a really cool job.

As I said before, things are going great. It is still the same here. We get up, we go out and work, we come back and sleep, and do it all over again. The only difference is when we do see the little miracles. God really does bless us so much in our lives. We just have to relax and look for those blessings. They are everywhere.

Thanks for all that you do. Hold on to that college catalog and I will see what I can find this week. If by next week I still don't have an answer, I may ask a member here if you can send it to their address, and then they can just give it to me. Maybe our Ward Mission Leader would be kind enough to allow that. Thanks for your patience. I am sorry for the problems.

I love you all so much. Take care and work hard. I know that life can be tough, but if we rely upon the Lord, we can do the impossible.

Love,

Elder Savage
