I Don’t Know Where I’m Going Yet...
Tuesday, September 7, 2010
Dear Family,
I can't believe how fast they work at the Mission Home. I also got my itinerary for my flight home. It is a little weird that I will be flying down to Georgia for a layover, but I guess it is to save money. That is probably why they sent me my itinerary so early as well. It is weird to think that I will be coming home in a few months. I remember at the beginning of my mission thinking that I had so much time ahead of me, and now I have almost no time at all. I don't know exactly what to think about all of it.
Well, I am getting transferred again. As always, I don't know where I am going, and I don't know who I will be with. I will get you that information next week. Then, Mom can send me out my SUU catalogue and stuff. I do feel blessed to have worked here in Terre Haute. I have had my most (visible) success on my mission here in Terre Haute. I will definitely have to keep in touch with the people here. You are also right about Monday. I didn't get a chance to do this email until Tuesday because of the National Holiday.
Hopefully, you will be able to endure the holiday season. I know that the Parties will be fun, but preparing for them won't be. Preparing for things is never the fun part. Hopefully, you will be able to find the time to get it all done and ready before it comes. I am excited about this Christmas Season. Even though I will be experiencing it a little later than usual. It will still be cool to play some games and do things like that. Thanks for thinking of me in that way.
Well, it is good to hear that Mom is getting used to the semi-retirement thing. I think that it would be a little weird to be able to say that you had worked for that long. She’s put in a lot of years. Hopefully, she will be able to find things to fill all of her extra time now. I also hope that she can get down to working only for the time that she gets paid. She can even enjoy next year as well. She will get paid her retirement, as well as for the time she works. That will be cool for her.
Good luck to Levi. I hope that his ACT test in October goes well. Hopefully, he is studying for it. Then, he can enroll into SUU and get started. It will be cool to have him in college as well.
The garden sounds like it was a fun idea. I liked the Crooked-Necked Summer Squash, but then I also liked the Banana Squash. Have you produced too many for you guys to eat? I know that there are some people out here in Indiana that will grow more vegetables than they know what to do with. Those sound like really big cucumbers. Speaking of Zucchini, we had a guy a few months ago give us some really big Zucchini's. They were huge! We didn't even end up eating them, but I do remember that they were really big.
Everyone take care and work hard. I hope that you all have a good week, and tell Levi to do some good studying for his test. Hopefully, he can do a really good job on it. I love you all very much.
Love,
Elder Savage
PS…Sister Lyon sent us the picture. I’m on the front row, third from the left.
